Aiming to provide an interactive scientific, leadership, and networking platform for early career group leaders (0-10 years) in the field of neuroscience, the ISTA-FKNE-CHET Young PI “Transition to Independence” symposium is a satellite event at FENS Forum 2024, which will take place at ISTA, on 23 June 2024. 

This symposium’s goal is to initiate a peer.

The first part of the day will focus on science: participants across different neuroscience disciplines will share their scientific expertise, discover common interests, and set the basis for future collaborations.

The second part focuses on the development of leadership, mentorship and (lab) management, to run a successful group.

Eligibility: scientists are those who will start their own group within the next 6 months or who have been an independent PI for a maximum of up to 10 years.

• We strive for the inclusion of an engaged and diverse PI cohort, therefore applications may be given preference to accommodate an equal inclusion of participants from different countries and disciplines.
